There’s plenty of summer fun in Gladewater, TX, especially in the summer months! Here are some ways you can celebrate the summer season in and around Gladewater.
Saturday Night Opry
If you’re in the mood for some music on the weekends, check out the Saturday Night Opry. Every Saturday night, step out from the summer air into The Gladewater Opry, which hosts different country music acts every week. It’s a great way to support local musicians.
Gladewater Round Up Rodeo
Founded by Jack Yates back in 1937, the Gladewater Rodeo Round-Up is a weekend packed with rodeo events June 6-9. It’s family-friendly, too, with a children’s event called Mutton Bustin’, where young kids can practice their rodeo skills.
Freedom and Fireworks Celebration
Celebrate Independence Day by adventuring out to Maude Cobb Convention and Activity Center in Longview for Freedom and Fireworks Celebration. This Fourth of July celebration has carnival rides, free music, a dog-themed fashion show, and fireworks.
Gladewater Art & Wine Stroll
The Gladewater Art & Wine Stroll takes place downtown on August 10, where you can see different art exhibits throughout shops and try wine from local wineries. Enter into a drawing for a gift basket. Though there’s wine, this event is family-friendly!
Before you have fun, make sure nothing funny is going on with your vehicle. Bring it in for service at McKaig Chevrolet.
